Freeform Overshot & Twill Weaving Patterns on Etsy

Lisa Rayner Handwovens on Etsy is the home of freeform overshot and twill weaving patterns and PDF eBook formats of all of Lisa’s books and weaving patterns. These pick up patterns range from 24 to 64 ends wide. Some are 72 ends wide including the background edge twills.

All of Lisa’s freeform twill and overshot patterns and eBooks are single heddle techniques for rigid heddle looms, and are also great for shaft, frame and pin looms. Lisa says, “I can do more with freeform overshot on my ten inch Cricket rigid heddle looms than a weaver with a 32-shaft dobby loom. Anyone can!”

If you need freeform twill or overshot pick up instructions, read Freeform Overshot for Beginners.

When buying from creators on Etsy, reduce our Etsy selling fee from 6.5% to 2.5% by ordering via ‘shopname.etsy.com’ instead of ‘etsy.com/shopname’. Your cost is the same, but the creator earns more.

Lisa’s freeform overshot adventures began in 2014 with the original Mermaid Scarf featured on the cover of the Nov/Dec 2015 issue of Handwoven magazine. That project was a stream-of-consciousness experience. Lisa later charted the Mermaid Scarf 2.0 pattern.
